A Little Safari Taste

So here is just a small sampling of my pictures during our safari in Etosha National Park. It was incredible! Its winter over here, so the land is much drier than in their rainy "warmer" months. We learned this almost ensures you will see animals at nearly every water hole. Our rest camp was even a 5 minute walk from a water hole that you could sit all day and watch the world go by. We saw countless giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hartebeest, springbok, kudu, and more birds than I can list. We were also fortunate enough to see many elephants including one water hole that a herd of 42 elephants were at! On two different occasions we saw a total of 6 rhinos at one water hole, and we were lucky enough to catch glimpses of about a total of 15 lions.

If you ever had an inkling to go on an African safari I would encourage you to consider Etosha National Park in Namibia during their winter months. Get here people!

I'll be posting many more photos once I get back to the states, but hopefully these will last you until then. Happy Monday everyday!
