We had such a great day in Namibia today. So much of our day centered around our time spent at the Windhoek School for the Visually Impaired. Words cannot express how powerful our experience with the faculty and students of that school were. Our time with them was literally amazing, and I only wish that you all could have seen the wonderful work that is happening there.
I really want to express our encounter we had with them in a thoughtful way, and I know that I do not have adequate time tonight (sorry friends!). We ended up going Joe's Beer House, which is a Namibian must see restaurant, and had a great evening! I was then extremely fortunate to spend some quality time with my good Luther College friend and Namibian Sam Simatta. With the business of the night (and a fair amount of frivolity) I really cannot do justice in a post about how much of an impact the students and teachers of the Windhoek School for the Visually Impaired had on all of us. We gained SO much from spending time with them and I want to share it with you.
With that, I promise to spend time writing about it during our bus trip to the North of Namibia tomorrow. However, the internet availability may be quite scare in the region we are heading to. We just ask for some patience on your end in waiting to hear from us in the following days. I still promise to write everyday, but it may be a few days until I am able to post anything.
Until then, be well good people. You truly are, all aces.
Much love from Namibia.
